Cook needs Apple's $70 billion China supply chain to stay intact..

Fink and Solomon need Chinese financial markets to open so Wall Street can actually operate there..

Boeing needs China to unfreeze $50 billion in plane orders sitting in a backlog since 2019..

and here's what nobody wants to say out loud..

every one of those CEOs is on that plane because they already calculated that staying home costs more than the flight..

the combined revenue exposure to China across those 12 companies is over $300 billion a year..

that's not a diplomatic trip.. that's a $300 billion ask dressed up as a state visit..

if Xi says yes to even half of it.. the trade war framework changes overnight..

if Xi says no.. 12 of the most powerful CEOs in the world flew to Beijing for a photo op..

and markets will price that answer in real time.

جب تین دن پہلے حکومت نے خود بتایا کہ ہمارے پاس تیل کا 30 دن کا سٹاک موجود تو پھر تین دن بعد پرانے سٹاک پر 55 پچپن روپے فی لیٹر پٹرول،ڈیزل کی قیمتیں کیوں بڑھا دی گئیں،بھارت کا 80 فیصد تیل آبنائے حُرمز کے رستے آئے،چین کا 40 فیصد اور جاپان کا 90 فیصد اور جب تینوں ملکوں میں قیمتیں نہیں بڑھیں تو ہمارے ہاں کیوں قیمتیں بڑھیں،اور پھر عمران دور میں جب عالمی مارکیٹ میں فی بیرل تیل 117 ڈالر کا تھا تو پاکستان میں پٹرول 150 روپے فی لیٹر مل رہا تھا جبکہ آج عالمی مارکیٹ میں تیل فی بیرل 106 ڈالر کا لیکن یہاں پٹرول 321روپے فی لیٹر کیوں ہوگیا مطلب خطے میں سب سے مہنگا پٹرول ہمارے ہاں ؟
کیوں ؟
(پہلے دو تیںن ٹویٹس میں پٹرول 321 روپے فی لیٹر کی بجائے 331 روپےلکھ دیا،اس ٹائپنگ غلطی پر معذرت)

کئی گھنٹے ٹریفک میں ذلیل و خوار ہوکر،
اپنی اور اپنے پیاروں کی زندگیوں کو رسک میں ڈال کر،
لاکھوں کی گاڑی میں ہزاروں کا پٹرول ڈلوا کر
ہم ایک ایسے مقام پر صرف چند گھنٹے گزارنے جاتے ہیں جہاں تھوڑی سی ٹھنڈک ہو!!
مگر چند سو روپے کے درخت ہم اپنے علاقے میں نہیں لگاتے، جن سے اپنے ہی گھر میں سکھ کا سانس مل سکتا ہے۔
ویسے اتنی ٹریفک میں خوار ہونے سے بہتر ہے کہ
ہم سب اپنے اپنے علاقوں میں درخت لگانا شروع کر دیں۔۔۔
