Performance Division ni top-tier (elite level) ya Rugby Africa Women’s Cup 2026 #RAWC2026 for women’s XVs rugby.
Hii ndio highest division Africa-wide - ina-feature strongest teams: 🇿🇦(defending champions), 🇰🇪 Lionesses (hosts), 🇺🇬 Lady Cranes, na 🇲🇬. Inafanya round-robin kuamua continental champions na ina-pathway kwa higher World Rugby events (kama WXV qualifiers or RWC pathway).
Rugby Africa ilirestructure the competition ili kuwa na clear tiers:
1️⃣ Performance Division = elite/top tier (hii inaenda Nairobi May 21–31)
2️⃣ Division 1 = next level (hii inaenda Tunisia May 8–16 na teams kama 🇨🇮, 🇹🇳, 🇲🇦 - winner ina-promoted to Performance next year).
Ni kama “Premier League” vs “Championship” ya rugby Africa women’s XVs. Previously ilikuwa just “Rugby Africa Women’s Cup” but sasa inaitwa Performance Division kuonyesha it’s the leading competition.
For this week and next, we will be overseeing the safety and welfare of the ladies and their management in the Women’s Cup 2026. Drop by for some action and you will also be secured by us. #RAWC2026

🇰🇪🇲🇬🇿🇦🇺🇬 Four nations. Three match days.
The curtain rises today in Nairobi at the RFUEA Grounds. From the first whistle, every carry, tackle and conversion will matter in a tournament where rankings may shape expectations, but never guarantee survival.
At the summit stands South Africa.
The @WomenBoks arrive not just as favourites, but as the highest-ranked side on the continent. Ranked 1st in Africa and 10th in the world, South Africa carry the weight of pedigree, professionalism and power - beating South Africa would shake the tournament like thunder over Ngong Hills.
But @kenyalioness will believe this is their moment.
The Lionesses enter as Africa’s 2nd-ranked side and 21st in the world, backed by home support and growing confidence. Nairobi crowds do not whisper, they erupt. Kenya’s blend of pace, athleticism and territorial aggression makes them genuine title contenders, especially with the energy of RFUEA behind them. If momentum becomes oxygen, Kenya could breathe fire all tournament long.
@LadyCranesRugby arrive carrying both hunger and history.
Ranked 3rd in Africa and 31st globally, the Lady Cranes have steadily built themselves into one of East Africa’s toughest outfits. Uganda’s strength has often come from resilience, physical defence and emotional grit. They may enter as underdogs against the top two, but tournaments are rarely won on paper. One upset can tilt the whole table sideways.
Then there is Madagascar.
Ranked 4th in Africa and 33rd in the world, the Malagasy side often enters competitions with less noise around them, but that silence can be deceptive. Madagascar’s rugby DNA is fearless, expressive and unpredictable. They have a habit of turning open play into chaos for opponents, and chaos can be a dangerous ally in short tournaments.
Every team plays three matches.
Every point matters.
And with promotion stakes, continental pride and rankings all colliding in Nairobi, this tournament promises more than rugby. It promises tension stitched into every minute.
Today, the table is clean.
No wins.
No losses.
No mercy.
The Rugby Africa Women’s Cup 2026 Performance Division begins now 🏆
