For me, Madhya Pradesh is a land where ancestral roots, cherished memories, civilisational heritage and literary imagination converge. Every visit has been a rediscovery of belonging.

From seeking Mahakal's blessings in Ujjain to experiencing Sanchi's timeless Buddhist heritage and the literary vibrancy of the Bhopal Literature Festival, each journey has been memorable. Particularly moving was my visit to Government Ahilya Ashram Girls' Higher Secondary School, Indore, where my mother was a pioneering student almost 100 years ago, embodying the early spirit of girls' education and empowerment. CM @DrMohanYadav51 ji's Sandipani Vidyalaya initiative carries forward this enduring legacy.

Madhya Pradesh also lives through my novel Swallowing the Sun, with Indore, Gwalior, Guna and Shivpuri woven into Malati's journey. My Nana's century-old journey from Ratnagiri to Guna, where he established Desaikheda, adds another deeply personal thread to this connection.

And now, with @HardeepSPuri ji being named the BJP's Rajya Sabha candidate from Madhya Pradesh, our longstanding bond with India's heartland enters a special new chapter.

Some places we visit. Others become part of who we are. Madhya Pradesh, for me, has always been both.

मेरे लिए मध्य प्रदेश वह धरती है, जहाँ मेरी पैतृक जड़ें, पीढ़ियों की अनमोल स्मृतियाँ, हमारी समृद्ध सभ्यतागत विरासत और साहित्यिक कल्पनाएँ एक-दूसरे से मिलती हैं। इस प्रदेश से मेरा रिश्ता केवल भूगोल का नहीं, बल्कि पीढ़ियों, भावनाओं और शब्दों का है।

लगभग एक शताब्दी पूर्व मेरे नाना की रत्नागिरी से गुना तक की यात्रा और वहाँ देसाईखेड़ा की स्थापना ने इस धरती से हमारे परिवार के अटूट संबंध की नींव रखी। उतनी ही भावुक कर देने वाली थी इंदौर के शासकीय अहिल्या आश्रम कन्या उच्चतर माध्यमिक विद्यालय की मेरी यात्रा, जहाँ लगभग सौ वर्ष पूर्व मेरी माँ अग्रणी छात्राओं में से एक थीं। उस दौर में उन्होंने बालिका शिक्षा और महिला सशक्तीकरण की जिस प्रगतिशील चेतना को साकार किया, उसकी विरासत आज भी प्रेरणादायी है। मुख्यमंत्री @DrMohanYadav51 जी की सांदीपनि विद्यालय पहल उसी गौरवशाली परंपरा को आगे बढ़ा रही है।

उज्जैन में महाकाल का आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करने से लेकर साँची की कालजयी बौद्ध विरासत का अनुभव करने और भोपाल साहित्य उत्सव की साहित्यिक ऊर्जा से जुड़ने तक, मध्य प्रदेश की हर यात्रा ने इस धरती से मेरे आत्मीय जुड़ाव को और गहरा किया है।

मेरी साहित्यिक कल्पनाओं में भी मध्य प्रदेश का विशेष स्थान है। मेरे उपन्यास *Swallowing the Sun* में इंदौर, ग्वालियर, गुना और शिवपुरी, नायिका मालती की जीवनयात्रा के अभिन्न पड़ाव हैं, जहाँ पारिवारिक विरासत और ऐतिहासिक कथानक एक सुंदर संगम रचते हैं।

और अब, @HardeepSPuri जी को भारतीय जनता पार्टी द्वारा मध्य प्रदेश से राज्यसभा का उम्मीदवार बनाए जाने के साथ, भारत के इस हृदय प्रदेश से हमारे दशकों पुराने आत्मीय संबंध में एक नया और विशेष अध्याय जुड़ रहा है।

PM @narendramodi जी की अध्यक्षता में केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने ₹1,856.67 करोड़ के कुल वित्तीय परिव्यय वाली ‘खेलो इंडिया स्पोर्ट्स गुड्स मैन्युफैक्चरिंग स्कीम’ को मंजूरी दी है।

वर्ष 2026 से 2033-34 तक लागू यह योजना भारत को खेल सामग्री निर्माण का वैश्विक केंद्र बनाने और स्वदेशी उद्योग को सशक्त करने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कदम है।

Despite all the narrative and fury whipped up by the Congress ecosystem around electoral and democratic processes in India, democracy has firmly stood up and shown a mirror to the party.
There were no EVMs in the election to 28 MLC seats; and as Congress has been screaming all along, ballot papers were used. But Congress drew a blank in the results! 

The results today, and to several state elections in the recent past, the people of the country have pointedly rejected the Congress brand of politics and their attempts to tie their defeats to everything but the fact that the people now see through their narrow parochial ways and attempts to undermine the institutions of our great nation.
