didn't get an exit interview with my soon-to-be-former employer, but i did get an exit "survey" so you can be sure i wrote a 500 word scathing diatribe about everything that led to me quitting ... it won't change anything, but it feels good anyway lol
so i put in my 2 weeks notice on Wednesday. supervisor was ooo so I cced *her* sup, who sent me a form response in like 30 minutes.
I still have not heard word 1 from my sup. it's not like she didn't know this was coming, but it's weird to not even get an acknowledgement, right?
(Doctors huddling outside of Billy Joelโs hospital room after test results just came back showing he had a heart attack.)
โSo, when we tell him, do we do the thing?โ
5 ๐ honestly i would LOVE to spend more time working with other modes' world cups, it was really fun casting outside my comfort zone even if it was only for a couple of TWC group stage matches
I hate myself for giving in to their whims but for the last 2 weeks I simply increased my work output by 20% to match the 20% below the target goal I was at and now I'm fine but I hate it so much because what do you mean I'm doing 20 more cases than everyone else now
employer implemented a "productivity" metric to replace its former "efficiency" metric and it turns out I'm so efficient that I'm, somehow, inadequately productive. make it make sense.
like, just give me a numeric target. don't say "you must move your mouse every x seconds or you'll get punished". how does ANY corporation still think this is a reasonable and worthwhile metric that does anything beyond letting them have excessive control over their employees?
