2011 I was picked for the All-Star game in Delmarva with Ryan Minor throwing to me in the home run derby. Twin Brother Damon was my hitting coach for a season in New Orleans. Both class acts. Truly great individuals. Proud former OU athletes. Praying for @ReedMinor and Family 🙏

Last weekend was awesome 🙌
Had an absolute blast at the Texas Tech baseball reunion, reuniting with a bunch of old teammates I haven’t seen in ages.
One of the highlights of the weekend was seeing my name up on the donor wall and on an office.

The crazy thing about this is : back in the day, there was this pitching coach that said I wasn’t cut out for Texas Tech.

Later that year he gets fired, and in comes Coach Lance Brown, who convinced the legendary Larry Hays to offer me a scholarship. Fast forward several years, and I’ve had the privilege to play in the big leagues, earn the honor of being an allstar, and now look up at a wall with my name on it on a beautiful brand new facility.
Talk about a full circle moment

Here’s the moral of the story: no matter how many “qualified” folks try to bring you down and tell you you’re not good enough, you gotta stay focused and keep working your tail off. Believe in yourself, hustle hard, and there’s nothing in this world that can stop you from achieving greatness. 💯
So, to all the doubters out there, Walden included (pitching coach), I say this: Keep doubting, ‘cause I’ll keep proving you wrong. It’s all logs on the fire 🔥 💪🏾

Was yelled at all the times at games and I’ll never forget moments of being in the Outfield and thinking to myself that some of these people have some deep underlying issues if they need to yell some of the things they were saying. Doubt I would have left tickets
