For as long as I remember, I always wanted to be a professor just like my pops. Yesterday acheived that goal by crossing the stage, getting my Ph.D. in political science. None of this would've been possible without God's grace and never ending prayers from family and friends.
This past weekend, we hosted 64 finalists for the Forty Acres Scholars Program Finalist Weekend. These scholarship finalists were selected from more than 3,400 applicants! Over the weekend, they visited their admitted colleges, attended mock classes, and got to know @UTAustin. 🤘
My grandmother passed yesterday, she was 91. I was *very* close to her. This is a reminder to tell your loved ones that you love them. I used to call her after playing tennis or going to the gym. I’m going to miss that…

These kids raised their siblings and grew up too soon. They went through more then any kid should. But they also remember friendships they made at the library and first crushes and first books. They came back to see us, they smiled and spoke of therapy and hope. 😭❤️#LibraryLife
