@Adam_Karpiak Recruiter spent the whole time on our phone screen complaining about his college-age daughters and telling me how unprofessional the hiring manager was. Hiring manager spent a good portion of the interview whining about the recruiter. Never more grateful to be ghosted lol
My hot take is that most of us have not adequately processed the trauma of the pandemic. And our sprawling, unprocessed trauma chews away at our brains in myriad ways that make us anxious about why we can’t seem to live our lives as instinctively or as joyously as we did in 2019.
@chrisbrogan I can’t write at my standing desk. I don’t know how other people do it. I stand for researching, attending short meetings, running focus groups, giving presentations, or any other activity where standing feels more natural. Writing is a no go.
@tricycles Elementary was kindergarten-5th. Middle school (not jr high) was 6th-8th. High school was 9th-12th, but we had a separate “9th grade center” building that was identical to my middle school and only some classes (mostly electives) were held in the main building.
@tricycles LMAO I basically did this job when I worked as a tutor for Kaplan after college (with a “bachelor of english”) and made ~$18 AN HOUR. Kaplan provided the “educational materials such as workbooks” and I didn’t have to bring snacks. What is this person thinking?!
