Hello! I have only started on Vgen in April and already gathered comms of 41 (13 of it being done). I haven’t gotten my verified badge yet but one thing that helped me soo much is finding my niche and promoting it nonstop on platforms (fb, twt, IG). When I say nonstop, I don’t mean posting the same artworks over and over again. It means whenever I make another art, I just post what I felt during the creation of it and link in my VGen acc. Also, make sure you request your clients to tag you when they post your work to get you more audience.
I also love making friends with my clients. That probably helps too through their referrals etc.
Not really? 😅 I learned this the hard way tho. Used to be soo affected when even my virtual friends wouldn’t share or like my arts, that I quit for 2 years and left that fandom.
After opening again on a wholly new acc, I focused more on gaining clients and posting only for legitimacy and portfolio.
posting artworks or wips you're truly proud of and only getting 1-2 likes is undeniably demotivating no matter how much you really try to be positive about it 😭 complaining is kind of useless but us artists have feelings too, of course we do want our efforts recognized
