If we don't make a stand now, it's over! Plain and simple.
Sony attacks a core element of video game culture by killing physical media. It will hurt retailers, creators, media, developers, loyal fans, and casual players alike. Nobody wins!
Which side of history will you be on?
A proposed class-action lawsuit has been filed against Google and YouTube, claiming YouTube Premium isn’t as “ad-free” as the company says.
The lawsuit argues that while Premium removes YouTube’s own ads, subscribers still must watch sponsored segments that creators include in their videos.
The plaintiffs say those are still ads, even if they aren’t served by YouTube itself.
The complaint also challenges YouTube’s marketing, which promises “No ads,” “No interruptions,” and “Unlimited ad-free videos.”
The plaintiffs argue those claims mislead people into believing they won’t see any advertising after paying for Premium.
Former PlayStation boss Shawn Layden expressed concerns over the PlayStation 6 potential price, amidst rumors that it may launch at $1,000🚀
✅He remarked “that's a whole lot of money” pointing out that Sony is hitting a ceiling on how much it can upgrade the system's tech before it prices out consumers
✅He questions “How much more ray tracing can you put in there?”
✅Layden also warned that such a high cost could severely hurt the console's early sales, given the typically limited number of titles available at release
“When a new console launches, you’re not going to have a lot of games for it. You can have anywhere from maybe 6 to 12 that'll be out there in that launch window.
And if you put a four-digit price tag on the hardware against that, I think you really slow the adoption curve tremendously.”
Do you intend to buy a PS6 given the price tag and the potential digital-only future?🤔

Hey, @Sony@PlayStation
Our customers have not stopped voicing their concerns to us, about your choice to end physical media on the PlayStation platform.
Millions of people are outraged by your decisions, millions who have contributed to PlayStation’s success for over 30 years. You may have shattered trust beyond repair for many, but that doesn’t mean it’s too late to fix your wrongdoings.
This is nothing more than a greedy move, being made to have more control over the consumer. Is that really what Play is about?
Former PlayStation boss says he’s worried the PS6 could become too expensive, as rumors suggest the next console could cost around $1,000. "That's a whole lot of money."
Layden said there’s only so much more powerful Sony can make the hardware before the price becomes a problem, asking, “How much more ray tracing can you put in there?”

Gamers need to abandon the “loyalty” mentality towards corporations🚀
This is a business.
Their only measure of value is money.
They don’t care about you.
They aren’t your friends.
They won’t give you anything when you pretend to like and agree with everything they do
In fact, it only reinforces hubris, and lack of accountability.
Focus on your self-interest, not your “dedication” to those who only see their own self-interest.
Gaming fell off when you started to have parasocial relations with corporations
