@BenFordhamLive Except the more children you have the more you need to stay home negating any tax breaks! It needs to be affordable for women to stay home at least until kids go to school
@RositaDaz48 I moved into a house that was a deceased estate with lots of brooms, brushes and odds and ends. These things had been here for 50 plus years and still going strong. I can’t even find things that are a similar quality now
@deanfc72@LibertariansNSW No it’s free. Just staff time and these accounts require content to maintain reach. You need social media staff for customer service and crisis management anyway so they post content too.
Australians have been convinced they are experiencing a cost of living crisis - but, in fact, it's a cost of government crisis.
Australians have been gaslit, indoctrinated, brain-washed into believing that the government should be doing the things that it does and that they should be paying the amount of tax they are paying.
Australians have been deliberately not taught history, so they are unaware that we didn't used to pay income tax or company tax (both were introduced in 1915 to fund Australia's contribution to WW1), payroll tax (introduced in 1941 to fund WW2 child endowment schemes), fringe benefits tax (introduced in 1986 to target employee perks), capital gains tax (introduced in 1985 to tax asset sales), Medicare levy (introduced in 1984), goods and services tax (introduced in 2000 with the intention of replacing a bunch of taxes, which were not removed), and more.
So many taxes we pay today were introduced to serve a specific purpose ... but when that purpose was no longer relevant the tax didn't go away, the government just got bigger to consume it. An example of this is that Australians still pay a 33% Luxury Car Tax, which was introduced in 2000 to protect the Australian car industry ... an industry that no longer exists.
On top of those taxes described above (which are all federal government taxes) we then have state government taxes and local council fees (taxes).
Australians are not experiencing a cost of living crisis, they are experiencing a cost of government crisis!
@storiesbyjemay My Italian kids love a cold pasta bake. They eat it like a slice. They would however recoil at kale with pasta and chilli. I don’t think they would even eat pasta if I cooked it in that foul manner and then called it “noodles”.
@bluemontauk I’m the same. I had a baby 20 years ago, they told me not to feed her peanut butter till she was at least 12 months. I had 2 babies in the past 5 years and was told to eat peanuts during pregnancy and then to give peanut butter as soon as baby was eating solids. Lack of exposure
@WhyCarnivore My two year will do anything to get to the butter and if she does she will eat it by the handful! Usually I stop her but tonight I’m going to let her go for it!!!
@TheWarKitchen Course you can. There’s a whole issue with fear mongering to older mums. I had a perfectly healthy baby at 44 and then at 47. They are now 2.5 and nearly 5. Not a single issue. Natural conception. No complications. Older women have been having babies since time began.
