I dont think that the issue is truly w mandating voter ID. I think the issue is that there’s some great difficulties of regular US citizens getting a valid ID, whether that be the lack of time money or transport to go get a valid ID or like literally why dont we have virtual ones
We should all strive, regardless of religion, regardless of age or status or any other factor, to be better than we were before. If you don’t look back and see positive growth then you’ve walked backwards. We’re only getting older, time to get wiser too. Time to grow not wilt 4/4
I read this tweet talking about “do you ever wonder why you feel destressed after hearing a sermon? It’s because they’re trying to change you.” And it goes on to talk about how “They talk about being more patient and compassionate and understanding” something along those lines 1/
Life is about growing and becoming better with all of the experiences that you have. If you feel distressed bc someone is talking about how it’s beneficial in the short and long run to be more patient, compassionate, and understanding then that really says something about you 3/
A kind word is a charity.
But sometimes words can be like deadly arrows that kill ambitions, destroy hopes, remove happiness, undermine confidence, and so on.
May we be of the people who give charitable words that nurture, teach, encourage, and cause happiness.
Back to cooking again.. tbh I am actually a pretty good cook and so I really enjoy eating my own food. So I’m enjoying it in one aspect but also it’s soooo tiring 🥲 yay for ChatGPT for recipes tho 🤓
What do you do when someone does you dirty and you’re nervous to say smth bc you know your anger could switch in an instant? And you don’t wanna go full hulk mode over this but you know if they say the wrong thing you might? And you’re trying to be nice but not taken advantage of
One of my pet peeves is when people say “the world is…” eg. “the world is not made for…” “the way the world is today…” and they mean America. America is not the whole world and other countries don’t have some of our problems. Really irritates me 😅
If this had occurred in Europe or America no one would’ve used such utterly disdainful language to refer to a civilian massacre. But when Arabs are slaughtered it’s a chaotic incident. You could teach these headlines in schools.
all of the school shootings happening and you want to ban the one thing that links parents to their children during an emergency?? i’m proud of those kids because that’s ridiculous
