PhDone

I made this account to complain about how finishing a PhD ruined my life. Now I am done. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

Anyway, I'mma not be around to analyze this junk so whatevs.

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

Like, how did they physically do their dissertation?

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

Still low-key can't get over that this person who gets paid as a "professional" social scientist doesn't know how to code properly.

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

Hey look another incredibly dumb aspect of academia. 3 more years of debt and depression for you because of an arbitrary number. https://t.co/4S8kHv3jBT

[Claudia 🏳️‍🌈🇵🇷 @colonechevarria]

I was praying to the p value gods today... They gifted me with a non-significant 0.0511 😑 #patience #gradschool

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

*weird having agency. Whatever.

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

Academia is such a dumb dumb stupid system.

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

Weird agency in my work. Don't have to wait 2 months for profs to deign to respond to emails.

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

@alliegator1004 Jerk move

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

Working on my PA is like pulling teeth. Grad school broke me.

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

@ResearcherMT Makes the transcripts hard to code otherwise.

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

@ResearcherMT It's a good learning opportunity. I usually have to work hard to nod and not say anything.

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

They also don't know how to do social science coding. Proficiat.

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

At least I know how to conduct an interview.

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

This person is supposedly a professional social scientist. Anyway, fuck my soc sci committee member who ruined my life.

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

Reading a transcript from interview colleague did and they interjected every second with some dumb interjection.

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

@X345__ Lulz

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

See, don't do a PhD. Srsly. https://t.co/in5BYQANeR

[Chris Humphrey @chrishumphrey]

'Fewer than 20% of US PhD holders land tenure-track academic positions within 3–5 years of earning their PhD.'

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

3. Do you hate yourself? https://t.co/8yfvJ0eURp

[Oh the irony @IronyPhD]

Should you get your PhD? Only if you can answer yes to these questions:
1. Do you hate email?
2. Do you feel guilty when you're not working?

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

@alliegator1004 @gradroomies @DrStruggleBus Big celeb sighting in my life.

[PhDone @thisisaphd]

@alliegator1004 @gradroomies @DrStruggleBus Guys def sat one table away from Kaitlin and Shawn at a BBQ place in Nashville today.
