3. LDF's map maker/cartographer proposed slight, though important, adjustments to the 31 judicial districts that represent 95 counties. The proposed map would increase the # of black voters in judicial districts in rural west. These are the current & proposed maps.
2. Pay attention to this issue if concerned about money bail, asset forfeiture, hyperincarceration, drug task force, etc. Thanks to Leah Aden of the @NAACP_LDF for evaluating TN's Judicial Districts & sending two letters to the Task Force. This is a partial read of the letter.
1. In June I testified at a regional mtg of the Advisory Task Force on the Composition of Judicial Districts. The Judicial Districts that elect DAs, Public Defenders, and judges were last drawn in 1984. 11 people sit on the Task Force- only 2 women and no people of color.

N'ville folks - please don't panick by Casada's threat. Simply put, if it comes to preemption (a big if), tell Mayor Briley to fight it. Briley can win if he stands up. Why? Because he can call on state AG to defend the most controversial part of COB/Amendment 1.
looks like we'll have Community Oversight and continued Term Limits for Metro Council. y'all better listen, Elected Officials. The People Have spoken. shout out to Nashville!
...And if you’re in Nashville, hit that FOR RATIFICATION on Amendment 1 so we can have some police accountability. Hold your head HIGH either way it goes today because we building power! #BlackWave#BlackPoliticalPower#FORon1
Mr. Caine believes there is a better way to policing.
Learn why he believes the Community Oversight Board is a solution for betterment for all of our communities, and why he wants you to vote FOR RATIFICATION of Amendment 1, tomorrow on Election Day! #FORon1
