Chances are more for the Supreme Court to grant interim stay of the Madurai Bench of #MadrasHighCourt's order in the case related to government jobs offered to 41 victims of Karur stampede tragedy because
1. The appointment orders have already been issued
2. The PILs were filed before the issuance of the appointment orders and not after they were issued
3. The appointment orders were issued with the nod of the High Court by way of an interim order
4. The beneficiaries have already joined government service
5. The beneficiaries had the benefit of an interim order in their favour during the pendency of the PIL petitions before the High Court and therefore, the same benefit must be accorded to them during the pendency of the appeals too.
6. If an interim stay is granted and the State appeals are dismissed after a few years, the beneficiaries can be relieved from the government jobs. On the other hand, if the interim stay is denied and the State appeals are ultimately allowed after a few years, the beneficiaries would have been denied of work and pay during the interregnum period,
