Waking up with #LongCovid everyday is like waking up with a hangover everyday, except you haven’t been to a festival, or gig or a night out. Basically scrap all the fun. You won’t get how soul destroying this is until you actually get it and by then it’s too late.
@Keir_Starmer@wesstreeting Any thoughts on #longcovid ? ONS data suggests upwards of 2 million currently suffering. No help, no treatment no cure. Do Better!
Sadly we don't have a Director of Long Covid Research and Practice at the @DHSCgovuk
The @ONS#LongCovid survey has long been defunded
@NHSEngland LC team will be disbanded end March

@NHSEngland @VictoriaAtkins @RishiSunak I know 1.9 million + who would vote for you if you actually started to acknowledge #longcovid and like @BernieSanders actually acknowledge the grave situation. We need funding NOW uk https://t.co/nY3mK2vvGo
@long_covid Showers are my worst enemy- does anyone else get bad tremors after showers? I used to love a hot 20min shower now it’s a case of surviving 🫠
As we mark 4 years since the first death from Covid in the UK, we remember all those who were lost during the pandemic and those of us still living with loss.
Our thoughts are with you today ❤️🩹
@SarahLizzyLou@doctor_oxford Completely agree, a second season focussing on the mental health implications and importantly #longcovid would be so validating for all suffering
Amazing to see a #LongCovid video made by a US politician - raising awareness of the awful impact of LC on so many.
We hope that this helps #pwLC + other chronic illnesses turn the tide & finally be recognised and supported.
(Despite this, poor to see exercise offered as rehab)
Really annoys me when media still refer to #longcovid as muscle aches, breathlessness for a few weeks - this is me and (most people I speak to) on a ‘good’ day with LC. In fact, the reality for so many is so much worse. At 30yrs old I’ve just received a blue badge for disability
Great piece by @SkyNews including comments by @Sunny_Rae1:
"It's never been just a cold. The more times you're infected, the higher your cardiovascular risk, neurological, and endocrine risk. These can all result in life-altering conditions”
