After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.

I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.

It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.

WATCH: Rwanda has begun preparing a dossier to register Umuganura as an intangible cultural heritage with UNESCO, according to Rwanda Cultural Heritage Academy Director General Robert Masozera.

The move follows the inscription of Intore dance in 2024, while Imigongo art is at an advanced stage of registration. Masozera made the remarks after a parliamentary session reviewing the implementation of the cultural heritage policy.

Today at the World Governments Summit in Dubai, Rwanda’s digital gateway, @IremboGov, was honored with the 2026 GovTech Prize for "Best Government Service in the World."

The award was presented by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, recognizing the Government of Rwanda’s visionary digital transformation agenda and its success in providing citizens with seamless, reliable access to public services at a national scale.

The milestone was celebrated in the presence of H.E. John Mirenge, Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to the UAE, and Estelle Kayitesi Indriets, Senior Manager for Policy and Partnerships at Irembo.
