The Brewers didn’t play in Milwaukee this weekend, but there was a home run at @AmFamField Oak Creek High School graduate @IzaacNeal takes a lap. @620wtmj “I decided I’d only be able to do this once and whatever the punishment, it would be worth it.”
Today is National Gun Violence Awareness Day. I #WearOrange for the 100 Americans killed each day by senseless gun violence. I wear orange for the families that have been torn apart and the ones left behind who will never stop grieving. I wear orange for all of us. Be safe. 🧡
This week we lost 17 Americans in Parkland - the deadliest school shooting since Sandy Hook in 2012. Since then, 438 people have been shot and 138 killed in over 230 school shootings. That’s 5 school shootings every month, 16 of which classify as “mass shootings.”
We are grieving with Parkland. But we are not powerless. Caring for our kids is our first job. And until we can honestly say that we're doing enough to keep them safe from harm, including long overdue, common-sense gun safety laws that most Americans want, then we have to change.
@MittRomney How about out respect for victims of gun violence everywhere you denounce the @NRA, promise not to take their money or accept their endorsement, and support legislative ideas put forward by @MomsDemand and others to reduce gun violence. That would show real respect, Mr. Romney.
@realDonaldTrump Then DO SOMETHING. For the love of God, stop letting the NRA run this country and make some decisions that will help people be SAFE. You can keep your right to bear arms, but it makes NO SENSE that citizens have access to military style weapons. What if it were your child??
My last hurrah! One of the most fun stories I've done at @620wtmj. Fitting for my last day here. So long, and thanks for all the fish! https://t.co/yrkO7TkGeI
