Hey #CoogNation. Do you want to keep Houston Blue uniforms for @UHCougars/@UHouston sports or get rid of them? Please say why or why not. Myself, I like them.

This handsome Husky is all heart! ♥️
He’s such a gentleman! He loves treats, knows how to sit on command, and takes snacks gently. He’ll happily stay by your side soaking up all the love you can give too!

Victor Wembanyama is one of us 👀
The Spurs superstar reportedly spent his first NBA paycheck on an $850 LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon set.
Wemby is a massive Star Wars fan. His favorite movie is Revenge of the Sith, he doesn’t count the sequel trilogy as Star Wars, and he owns a signed 1977 Topps Luke Skywalker card that cost $2,500.
Wemby might be my favorite athlete of this generation.
Not because he’s 7’4.
Not because he’s a basketball alien.
Because in an era where everyone is pretending not to care…
he cares about everything. 🧵
Kevin Garnett calls out Victor Wembanyama for crying after beating the OKC Thunder:
“Crying in the motherf—king Western Conference Finals. That was too emotional for me. He got 4 more games to try to get. You gotta go to the Finals now”
Grateful for the overnight growth on this platform. It’s completely unexpected, but hopefully proves to be worth your “follow”.
To that end, here’s my pledge: I won’t become a hot take artist or hater. I will keep it real, while showing love to past, present and future athletes. I’ll try to approach things from the POV of positivity. And if it’s not positive, it’s because I think there’s a lesson to be learned.
I’m going to share thoughts on NBA, WNBA, college, and sports biz. I’ll sprinkle in some NFL, MLB, and random life thoughts. I’ll drop some knowledge and stories from my playing days, of course.
And I’ll always try to engage with fans because, after all, it’s you who are giving me your time and attention.
I don’t know why this feels like a timed awards speech. But if it reads like one, my bad ha!
Time’s up on this tweet, I just heard the music ha. But hopefully my time is just getting started with you all.
Lot of new followers lately, so hey. I'm Michael Redd.
Some of you know me from a Final Four run at Ohio State almost 30(!) years ago, some from my stint with the Milwaukee Bucks (and Phoenix Suns), and some from my place on the 2008 Redeem Team. That said, many of you likely have no idea who I am, and that's cool too!
Since I retired from the NBA, I've been building. Ventures, investments, startups. Trying to find the next good idea and the people brave (crazy?) enough to build it. I've also been hanging with my family, been active in select charities and foundations, and been getting good (humbly, ha!) at golf.
Recently, I've been sharing sports takes on here and other platforms.
NBA, WNBA, college, some NFL and MLB. The welcome's been warmer than I expected and the internet clearly has a lot of hoops takes...and knowledge. Having a blast with it at the moment, honestly.
There's no real end goal or play in joining social after all these years. No agenda or item to sell. Ideally, I really just want to share what I know, tell some old stories, show love for the players out here doing it now and the OGs who did it before, and just talk ball with good people.
Glad you're here.
And if you made it through all of that writing and stream of thoughts, I think you might like it here, ha.
Been thinking about this. It's not about hoops, but it is about a hooper.
Give Wemby and his marketing team major credit.
For three or four years now he's been saying yes. Access. Interviews. Riding the subway. Playing chess. Living with monks. Voiced geopolitical takes. Stunt-y or not, doesn't matter.
I think reporters have been starved of actual access from NBA stars for a long time. From LeBron to Jokic, you only got the few crumbs that the player and his sneaker brand and his agency wanted you to have. Then, journalists (and talkshow hosts) would have to make a meal out of crumbs. (Crumbs that often came with strings attached.)
Wemby's kind've bucked that trend. So now that he's got the biggest stage of his career, those same access-starved reporters (who also, fwiw, tend to align with his politics and disposition) have got stories, angles, and the "superhero" they've craved to cover.
Whether Wemby's genuinely that guy or just plays one really well, I don't know. But from a media and marketing standpoint, he and his team ran their long play about as well as we've seen it run in a long time.
Salute.
The Selesian Nuns were celebrated by the Spurs last week. From a full police escort and transportation by @txelitedriver, to suite seating during Game 6, they were given a memorable "thank you" for years of support and prayers for the team.

Most people from California aren't exactly dying to move to OKC when they've never been there before. I asked Jared McCain about sort of falling in love with his new home city.
“And the city, everywhere I've gone, they're always trying to help and always trying, always, no matter what. So whether it's being able to just pay for somebody's coffee, help somebody out, give someone a picture, like whatever it is, I try and do that. I think that love just kind of all comes back around to you and that energy comes back and that allows me to fall in love with a city.”
