@hurtswhenipee @flying_briann True, but 2 clear syllables for “tee-cass” vs 4 for “ADSB” or a mouthfull of “adsbee.” Also some controllers arent aware what info ADSB allows pilots to see. Saying you have traffic on “TCAS” tells controllers what info you have even though it isn’t technically the system onboard

Yes, rights transfer from parent to student as you described. However, there are exemptions to FERPA rights, and this situation may be arguable as exempt.

The example of a wrestling team suggests that a student name could be given to a “team” or others “in the school.” That being said, the burden of proof is on the school to explain why they had to include the name
