first the title, what’s it mean?

to be buried is to have dirt thrown on you whether it’s your name or otherwise.

I was often the punchline to peoples jokes and as badly as I didn’t want it to impact me it did. When someone tries to bury you remember you control your narrative

as is all my art BURIED is an exploration in identity as much as it is a public service announcement to move on to bigger and better things.

with effort and intention you can make this piece as well as your life a completely different story.

I felt buried making this piece, it’s a reminder that the things you love may hurt you but can only break you if you let them.
