The latest EU Crypto Register Monthly Update is live.
This is the first edition including notified OCA (Other Crypto Asset) whitepapers — and the numbers tell an interesting story.

However it does show how ESMA’s current #MiCA database is effectively 26 sets of records stitched together. Proper standardization still feels a long way off. Small details like this continue to make it tricky for interested parties to track and interpret changes accurately.
One thing I noticed when updating the EU #Crypto Register this month was that the Cypriot regulator (CySEC) changed their two-letter country code for Greece from GR to EL.
You’re probably expecting me to make a comment about the political significance (Greece and Cyprus!).
We hit spring cleaning season across Europe this month, as jurisidctions like Ireland and Cyprus fixed missing and incorrect information across their #crypto databases.
But there were interesting things too - of special note is the authorisation of the first Swedish krona-backed EMT from @AllUnityStable. The range of currencies in regulated #stablecoin format continues to grow across Europe!
Full list of all comings and below.
@godspeed_aflame A key giveaway is if the book has one 'theme' which explains virtually everything that's ever happened in history - geography, biology, religion, etc. This formula usually makes it highly likely to make it on the NYTimes bestseller list and zero history professors' reading lists
A thanks to @LifeInGen6 for mentioning their listing in the EU Crypto Register. Great to see companies out there as excited about #regulation as we are!
Major milestones have been passed for Gen6.
✔️ Gen6 & Gen6 Lite are now live on Google Play
✔️ MiCA notification process milestone completed
✔️ The GSX ticker has officially been secured
✔️ Runtime Upgrade v1.20 is now live
The ecosystem keeps evolving — step by step.

An interesting month in the EU crypto space. We’ve got:
- one of Spain’s largest banks receiving its CASP license
- the first Croatian MiCA license of any kind
- the first Estonian MiCA license of any kind
- the first Latvian EMT
@ScalableCapDACH and @validvent are now permitted to offer 'personalised recommendations to clients about crypto-assets or services'.
They are the first two companies to receive this authorisation on its own.
Friendly reminder that just offering advice on #crypto is also a regulated activity in the EU. This month, we added two companies to the EU Crypto Register (https://t.co/rY61QGR1Lc) who recently received their #MiCA authorisations for this and only this.
I reviewed hundreds of #crypto whitepapers when putting together the EU Crypto Register, and so did official agencies.
I love that fact that on some official government calendar is an appointment called 'Review Unstable Coin'. What a time to be in financial regulation.
- three EMT issuers adding a CASP authorization to their license stack
- the first ever Romanian leu-backed EMT
All this and more, including a huge whitepaper notification stash from Ireland and Germany (again) in this month’s Update from the EU Crypto Register (in comments)
@taipan168 You know the moment I saw this tweet I immediately knew what the replies would be. Fun afternoon tho!
Next up: country TLDs. I mean .de for Germany, .es for Spain, .kp for North Korea?? What a mess.
