The junta regime have been demolishing civilian properties in Lashio on Saturday, a vital border town linked to Thailand in southeastern Shan State. The regime claims that the land - occupied by numerous expensive estate properties and believed to be at least 17 houses — belongs to the junta military, undermining the rights of civilians who have invested their fortune in their homes and communities.

The destruction of all properties in the No. 5 Block area of Tachileik town is not just an infringement on individual rights but also a stark reminder of how things are going under the military rule in the war-torn country.
