@battleangelviv@tim_cook Because itโs simply not ideal in many situations where TouchID was still better.
Unlock when phone is on the table? TouchID > FaceID
Unlock with mask on?
TouchID > FaceID
Wearing dark /tinted polarized sunglasses?
TouchID > FaceID (my phone wont recognize me with a certain pair)
@katylcowan Long walks and photography as a hobby. Gets me outside just about every day even if for a quick half hour. Oh, and the gym, which is nice and empty at lunch time.
I've got this 2011 iMac 27" running High Sierra that's been sitting in my house for a while. Looking to sell it for cheap or donate it to someone who needs a computer โ it still works perfectly fine. If you know anyone, get in touch (will need to be picked up, of course).
@thuveners You could argue it's the better screen, extra power, and 2x RAM & storage as standard (valued ~โฌ500 alone). But I'd even take a Thunderbolt on each side vs two on one side. Today I had trouble with my MBA reaching an awkward outlet, with the cable wrapping around its back.
Delighted by the concept of a 15" MacBook Air, yet annoyed by the stinginess of only two USB-C ports. Could we not indulge in an extra port or two? An upgrade option perhaps? Port austerity feels so passรฉ in 2023. (As does a base configuration of only 8GB of RAM, but hey)
I find it very hard to believe we're going back to the dad-loving belt clip holster era, also known as the "dad bladder". But it might be a perfect fit with Gen Z's love for retro tech.
