⚠️SHRIPNEY ROAD, BERSTED - Flooding update: 6/2/2026 16:00
Shripney Road remains closed to all non-residents and non-local business owners while we continue to investigate a suitable solution.
There was significant rainfall overnight which has caused further issues and the road has become impassable via Sack Lane.
Resident access as follows:
- North of Sack Lane will continue to access via A29 Woodgate
- South of Sack Lane will be able to enter and exit via the Saltbox Roundabout
We will provide further updates on Monday. Please note, ignoring or moving authorised road closures is illegal as these are in place to protect the public and workers.

@WBFNDP Our village is slowly becoming unrecognisable and a shambles..Tye lane junction is a joke. Too narrow, no clear lane markings, Lorries having to turn in The Street and reverse up Tye Lane to housing estate. So narrow in places you cannot pass without yielding. Sort it out
