Growing up, some of us used to cringe whenever our parents announced our achievements to everyone.

“My son just gained admission.”
“My daughter passed her final exams.”

Back then, I’d think, “Why are you telling the whole world? Everybody has achievements.”

Now that I’m older, I understand.

It was never just about the achievement. It was about parents proudly showing the world that every sacrifice, every sleepless night, every prayer, and every struggle was worth it.
