Eugene Mutuku, a final-year student at KMTC Yata (Matuu) who was set to graduate this year, has died after allegedly being thrown from a moving NICCO Sacco bus along Thika Road.

Mutuku had recently begun his mandatory industrial attachment at a hospital in Kasarani and was reportedly on his way to work on Thursday when the incident occurred. Witnesses claim a matatu conductor threw him from the moving bus, registration number KDV 713J, causing him to fall onto the road and sustain severe injuries.

A Good Samaritan rushed to assist the injured student and took him to hospital. Along the way, he reportedly encountered the same matatu at Garden Estate and informed the crew about the injured passenger. However, the crew allegedly declined to help and said they would instead report the matter to the police.

Mutuku was eventually taken to Kenyatta National Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The incident has sparked outrage online, with many Kenyans calling for investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death and accountability for those responsible.
