People who always complain about why there has to be so much Holocaust education never seem to figure out that they are the reason there has to be so much Holocaust education.
Toomaj Salehi is NOT FREE!
He is temporarily released from prison.
He is temporarily not being physically tortured. We have to stop pretending that this is equivalent to being FREE.
No one is Free in Iran under the oppressive rule of the Islamist Regime. Especially those that are released face immense harrasment and pressure by the regime. Remember Toomaj was already released once and returned to prison within weeks. Even if he is not returned to prison, is he free to report about the horrific abuse he endured? Is he free to continue his art, rap in defiance of the jihadist terrorist, go on the streets and protest against their crimes against humanity and stop the ongoing execution wave of Iranian freedom fighters? No.
This is an attempt by the regime to diffuse tension and put on a “humanitarian” mask for their Western trade partners, especially given the international outcry after the murder of #JamshidSharmahd, the iconic stance of #AhooDaryaei (who we still don’t know where she is), and the multi-front wars against #Israel and the jihadist chaos in #Syria.
We are delighted that international pressure campaigns have once again been fruitful in pressuring the child-murdering jihadists regime to release Toomaj.
LETS USE THE MOMENTUM
I ask the international community that spoke up to protect #Toomaj to build the SAME PRESSURE to save the #EkbatanBoys, all death row individuals especially 2 women on death row #VarishehMoradi #PakshanAzizi and make it impossible for the regime to continue the execution of 1 freedom fighter every 6 hours!

Fatemeh Sepehri is still in prison.
She has committed no crime.
The regime is slowly killing her. Fatemeh, and all prisoners of conscience in Iran, should be freed.
This Iranian girl received 74 lashes for committing a "crime."
Her "crime": walking the streets without a headscarf.
She shared the photo of the result.
This is what a woman should get according to Sharia law if she doesn’t cover herself properly.
These are barbaric rules that brave Iranian women continue to fight against.
Kudos to these women who are fighting for true freedom and equality.
And this in stark contrast to the hypocritical fake "feminists" who even stand up to defend a burka under the guise of "freedom of choice."
On the paper she holds in her hand is written: woman, life, freedom.

In memory of Aida Rostami and for the brave youth of Ekbatan, I sat in Ekbatan Town; in remembrance of Nika Shakarami and for her grieving mother in prison, Nasrin Shakarami, I shall return again with sealed lips…
I stand unwaveringly for the demands of Kianoosh, for the freedom of Nasrin Shakarami, Toomaj Salehi, Fatemeh Sepehri, and Arsham Rezaei. I firmly believe that even if I am not here, others will carry the banner Kianoosh raised, holding it high. Kianoosh’s cause is deeply intertwined with my voice and my very being.
As Kianoosh said:
"No one should be imprisoned for expressing their beliefs. Protesting is the right of every Iranian citizen. We give our lives for the love of living, not for death. I dream of a day when Iranians awaken and overcome servitude."
Long live Iran!

Iranian dissident @HosseinRonaghi drawing attention to the Boys of Ekbatan, who were handed execution sentences days ago.
Hossein himself recently sewed his lips shut as an act of protest in solidarity with Kianoosh Sanjari, who died by suicide protesting the regime.
STOP being politically correct when it comes to dictators like Putin, Khamenei and Maduro. Stop giving them democratic titles.
They are killers and they cannot be reformed.
Please listen and join us.

Iranian activist and former political prisoner @HosseinRonaghi was arrested by the security forces after he started his sit-in with sewn-shut lips in a crowded district of Tehran on Monday, his Telegram channel announced citing eyewitnesses. He had earlier sewn his lips shut in protest “against the dictatorship and tyranny of the regime.”
We remember 9 year old #KianPirfalak, budding scientist, who was indiscriminately shot at and killed during the peaceful #WomanLifeFreedom revolutionary uprisings in Iran. He was one of 68 other children killed at that time according to the UN’s fact finding mission.

We will never forget 2019’s « Bloody November » in Iran where the regime violently cracked down on peaceful protesters in nationwide uprisings to the increase in fuel prices and general corruption and economic mismanagement of the regime. They cut off the internet for several days and in that time thousands were killed in cold blood. While Reuters quoted 1500 people dead, new reports indicated the numbers were closer to 4200 deaths according to Iran’s Civil Registration organization.

For four decades the regime of the Islamic Republic has been intimidating, harassing, kidnapping and assassinating Iranian dissidents outside of Iran. Now they are trying to frighten our friends and allies, however what they fail to understand is that when you are a human rights and civil liberties champion, like @IrwinCotler, this only strengthens your resolve to do more.
Professor Cotler, on behalf of the Iranian diaspora community, I would like to thank you for years of dedication helping oppressed citizens living under authoritarian regimes, fighting for human rights and trying to keep Canadians and the free world safe. We stand in solidarity with you. 🧵
According to Haal Vsh, yesterday, Mohammad Bamari, a resident of Delgan County, was beaten by security forces on one of the city’s streets and then arrested.

It's not about me! The issue is oppression, execution, imprisonment, and poverty.
Yesterday, as a 40-year-old well-known activist, I was sexually harassed and verbally abused by officers of the Special Forces Unit of the Iranian Police. These Special Forces officers, whose behavior mirrored that of thugs and predators, were hurling vile insults at every woman on the street. During my arrest, they forcefully slammed my head on the car door, striking the left side of my head. Taking advantage of my momentary dizziness, they shoved me into their car.
Inside the vehicle, they restrained both of my hands. The driver kept repeating vulgar insults about my mother. The one seated on my left grabbed my left hand and forcibly placed it on his groin, demanding that I touch him. The officer on my right was also hurling obscene insults about my family. While holding me captive, they proudly took selfies, mocking me further when I protested. They laughed louder and threatened, "We'll tear your mouth apart." The officer on my left slid his hand under my shirt and commented to the one on his right, "he's so pale, I want him to be my bride tonight in detention." The other added, "I'll take his mother in front of his eyes."
The driver sneered, "We were waiting for you to set yourself on fire! You didn’t have the guts; maybe this time you'll burn yourself."
These are the same people who killed Sarina and Nika. Without hesitation, they declared, "We’ll not only kill you like dogs, but we’ll also violate you."
This abuse continued until they handed me over to officers who were wearing body cameras.
This is just one example of how Iranian police treat citizens. From now on, I will refer to them as a gang of thugs and predators. These are the same people who claim to enforce the law and protect the nation but instead use the pretext of improper hijab to abuse women.
I resist because "it's not about me." This is about the oppression inflicted upon every Iranian citizen by this regime and its gang of thugs. These are the same individuals who extract forced confessions from the youth of Ekbatan and others who are sentenced to execution or killed. The judiciary—an institution devoid of justice—uses these coerced confessions to issue and carry out execution orders.
Even if I stand alone, I will confront this behavior. I will no longer allow them to humiliate us. "It's not about me." It’s about restoring dignity and honor to the people of this land called Iran. "It's not about me." It's about reclaiming Iran.
The nomination comes as Soheila Golestani faces pressure from security forces in Iran due to her support of the 2022 nationwide protests.

“The Islamic Republic is not Iran. The people of Iran largely detest the regime, which neither represents nor serves them”
I had the honor of closing the Opening Gala of the 2024 @Freedom_Games, offering Poland’s own Solidarity Movement as a blueprint for Iranian freedom seekers
According to her attorney, Niloofar Hamedi must turn herself in to Iran’s notorious Evin prison to begin serving a 5 year sentence.
Hamedi was one of the journalists who broke the Jina Mahsa Amini story, which sparked the Woman Life Freedom movement.
Journalism is not a crime.
The Shakarami family reports that #NikaShakarami’s mother has been arrested by the Islamic regime’s security forces. Nika, a 16-year-old who courageously protested against the regime in Iran, was brutally raped and murdered for it.
Now, her mother has been arrested for the simple act of mourning her beloved daughter.
The Islamic regime in Iran must be held accountable and brought to an end for its relentless crimes against humanity.
