@ariesgo@jegaevi 😭😭 trust me i've lived in beijing for more than a decade now so i would know. 星期 is genuinely not used a lot in everyday speech now, probably due to the word's religious origins. it's also worth taking into consideration that 星期 is a noun while 周 is a quantifier in chinese
@ariesgo@jegaevi maybe chinese vernacular have changed a lot over generations but 礼拜天 is literally the most formal version out of all of those options nowadays. it's only used in catholic / orthodox contexts
+ i see people sometimes use 礼拜日 too 🤷 chinese as a language is pretty fluid
