@ayemarqui@RAD_6 You know when Essence asked me I thought this is to short of a notice but I thought of her fans who have fought to keep her legacy https://t.co/nqfyhelqJe I said ok after speaking with Rashad.. Fatima & everyone really did worked overtime barely had any sleep🥹
Soul Train documented the evolution of Black American dance culture in real time, and Michael Jackson’s Dangerous era sits right inside that continuum.
Right. My concern is with the young folks who were either too young or not born when Aaliyah was alive. I feel like using AI imagery, in general, is confusing because they won't know the difference between what images are actual vs. made up. They weren't there to know. 😭
The Aaliyah Ai really pissing me off. It looks tacky and they could of just used archive footage. Also the waste of water. Was Essence too lazy to hire someone to edit a montage? I remember when Essence had that Ai background for Brandy this year. What's going on?
Eddie wearing Thierry Mugler happened because I was pitching a science fiction movie to Eddie and I used a lot of Thierry Mugler photos of his clothes as part of the pitch. That movie didn't happen, but then Eddie hired me to direct Boomerang and said he wanted to wear Mugler in that fim. I loved it because it showed you could be a Black professional and not a cornball.
Everything has a frequency indeed. It’s funny she said that. Because when I hear “Video” (dope song), I also hear Put It In Your Mouth by Akinyele loll. What a frequency lol
And it was just cool. I think that’s the part that people just miss. They just had an air of cool. A lotta stuff doesn’t feel “cool” because it tries too hard.
