#Opinion | India's biggest experiment isn't happening in a laboratory. It's happening at fuel pumps, with 1.4 billion people as the sample. Welcome to the world's biggest fuel trial, where every Indian motorist is unwillingly, a participant.

Due to drunk and drive cases in Eluru, our party members are facing serious troubles.
I am getting at least 30 calls everyday.
Awareness programs cannot solve the problem. Stop being so strict. Drunk and drive cases are creating an anti-government opinion in public.
In not so serious cases drunk and drive cases, if our mandal party president asks, instruct the SHO to look into it a bit and support them.
- TDP MP Putta Mahesh
Basically TDP MP is asking police to allow his party men to drink and drive. Asking police to be liberal when he gets a call from TDP leaders. 👌🏽
This man sits in the parliament 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
In March 2026, MP Putta Mahesh was caught in a drug bust in neighbouring Telangana state. Putta Mahesh Kumar tested positive for drug methamphetamine but was let off with a station bail.
Easing the scruples because what more can you expect?
Peak re-release experience! 🙆🏻♂️🔥
The last time I witnessed this kind of excitement was during #Mohanlal's Chotta Mumbai and now it's for #AlluArjun's Happy.
Pure festival ground vibes for #Happy4K
Piece of advice: if you are a parent, watch out what the Finns are doing and copy them. It's one of the few countries that pays closer attention to their youth. They observe, study, and adjust all the time!
For example, they are now gradually reversing their decade-long, tech-heavy education model to combat declining cognitive performance and severe classroom distractions. Schools are scaling back on devices in favor of printed textbooks, handwriting instruction, and pen-and-paper assignments.
Here’s what I feel about #Dragon… no filter, just raw thoughts.
I respect #PrashanthNeel for #KGF and #KGF2. Those films felt fresh at the time. The dark world, the larger-than-life elevation scenes, and the story of a boy rising to rule the gold mines had a certain novelty and impact. But after that, we kept revisiting similar worlds. We saw films like #Kabzaa, not directed by Neel, yet heavily inspired by the same aesthetic and storytelling style. Then came #Salaar, once again carrying a similar colour palette, world-building approach, and the familiar backdrop of rival gangs and power struggles.
Honestly, it was the sheer stardom and screen presence of #Prabhas that made #Salaar as engaging as it was. Yes, the film was commercially successful and profitable, but the fact that it couldn’t cross ₹500 crore net in India or ₹1000 crore worldwide perhaps signals something important, audiences may already be reaching saturation with these kinds of worlds. The repetition is beginning to show.
Now with #Dragon, I feel the same sense of familiarity again. The world looks strikingly similar to the films before it, except this time the core trade revolves around opium and heroin. Even the protagonist follows a familiar arc, not the ruler of the empire, but an assassin operating within a larger gang conflict between two forces. To me, it doesn’t seem to offer anything fundamentally new.
Great directors evolve with time. Look at #SSRajamouli, from #Magadheera to #Eega, then #Baahubali, #RRR, and now moving towards an entirely different jungle adventure with #Varanasi. Or #SanjayLeelaBhansali, who constantly explored different spaces through romance, history, culture, and political drama. Reinvention is what keeps filmmakers exciting. When a director keeps returning to the same tone, same world, and same narrative structure, the room for growth slowly becomes narrower.
I liked the glimpse of #Dragon. Visually, it’s powerful. But personally, there was nothing in it that felt unpredictable or truly new. Almost every beat already feels familiar, and that takes away some of the excitement for me.

The Thief , corrupt and dishonest man who was caught on camera in the Narada scam, openly taking bribes in a sting operation, is now set to become the Chief Minister of Bengal tomorrow. What a tragic irony for democracy.
