Welcome to the month of June, a month where we find rest in the comfort of the Love, Grace, and Mercy of God through Jesus Christ and his blessed Holy Spirit. Come boldly to his throne of Grace this month to obtain mercy and grace to help in your time of need.
Today, we reflect on the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross. His love knows no bounds, and His sacrifice is our greatest treasure.
As we journey through this Holy Weekend, may we find peace, hope, and redemption in the message of the cross.
We don't talk about this enough, and it is often trivialised into "they brought you to this world, what choice do you have?" As a ministry that works with young people, parental hurt is often times the root cause of all the behaviours we are now praying and counselling about.
Perhaps parental hurt hurts the most. It can create perpetual pain. It's why we need to be careful with our children. Children react badly to parental hurt. Some people should not father or mother children. If you can't love them, why bring them into the world?
Every great thing in the kingdom starts with an individual hearing from heaven. God speaking to a person is the foundation for exploits.
If you do not take time to hear God for yourself about your situation or your life, then you are making assumptions and presuming God will move when he hasn't committed himself.
Here is where people miss it. They presume or intensely desire that God will or should do something and then apply all other faith principles to cause a manifestation without hearing first.
We have received the Spirit not of this world but of God that we might know those things freely given to us of God. Without this Spirit imparted knowledge, we are involved in presumptuous actions.
You cannot use extended time of praise to force God's hand to do what you want done that will amount to manipulation.

You ask how do I succeed as a Christian in the marketplace? The first thing is that you must have a reputation of being a person of integrity. Your word is your bond on monetary matters. You will lose money to maintain a good name in your service or product delivery.
The second thing is to demonstrate a high level of skill in what you do. Let your love for humanity be evident in the quality of work you render unto others. Study, study, and study to acquire relevant knowledge in your field.
The third is your personality. People like to work with people they like. Avoid association with toxic people who gossip, back-bite, murmur, and complain. Don't let your unguarded speech destroy the fruit of your labours.
When you see an opportunity, embrace it fully before worrying about how to do it. Start by declaring it done; don't let finances or fear limit you. God will handle His part of the covenant, so speak boldly and think big. It costs nothing to declare your vision. If God gives you an idea, don't let lack of money stop you-if you hesitate, someone else will achieve it, even from a more challenging position than yours.

Are you facing any real serious threats? go to the book of Psalms and prayerfully read it until you find the psalm that speaks to you. It connects with your present feelings and then tells the outcome. Sit with it and practice focussed praying on it until the new day dawns upon you.
A lazy way of interpreting the scriptures.
When people make statements like there is no scripture in the New Testament speaking to something as a way of invalidating it, I sometimes cringe on the inside because neither the scripture nor the present experience of those saying it is consistent with that posture.
For example, there is nowhere in the New Testamnet that musical instruments nor the clapping of hands was mentioned in the act of worship and praise. What we have are the use of Psalms hymns, spiritual songs, telling us to make melody in our heart unto the Lord.
The only time you will hear of musical instruments being used again after the Old Testament days is in the book of Revelation in heaven. However, everyone is using musical instruments as they were used in the Old and validating their power from Old Testament scriptures.
What then should be our posture?
The apostles taught and demonstrated how they went into the Old Testament to establish the doctrines of the New Testament. They showed how the interpretation of scriptures was to be done and so left us with the liberty to follow that pattern in our teachings.
For example, Paul spoke about the word of faith, which he was preaching in
Romans 10:6-8
"But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;"
He simply lifted a principle from the Old Testament which Moses used in the practise of the Law. If that scripture is read properly in the old testament mention, you will find the principle of the word of faith concealed in it.
Deuteronomy 30:12-14
"It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it."
The first two chapters of the book of Hebrews were almost an entire lift verbatim of scriptures used in different places in the Old Testament to produce a consistent and coherent doctrine in the New.
Another example is how Paul took the feast of Passover from the Old and applied it in the New as to how we keep it today.
1 Corinthians 5:6-8
"Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth"
The issue we are now left with is to interpret spiritually the two other major feasts that he may not have mentioned because there was no need to in the context of his letters but showed us the pattern on interpretation.
The feast of Pentecost(Weeks) and the Feast of Tarbernacles which Jesus aluded to when he cried saying "If any man thirst let him come to me and drink......out of his belly shall flow rivers of living waters which he spoke concerning the Spirit"
What we should study is how they applied Old Testament scriptures and not lazily say there is no scripture in the New saying this. This posture is spiritual laziness.
To start with our Sunday services and your midweek services or even Conferences and conventions will go out of the window because there is no clear evidence of us being instructed from the letters written in the New Testament to do ministry that way. The only validation for conventions or campmeetings is found in the Old Testament.
I met with a young person recently who made a position known to me on a subject in the Bible. When I showed a couple of scriptures that contradicted his opinion his reply was it was the report of the apostle about what Jesus did and not the exact words of Jesus himself so it shouldn't be treated as being accurate.
My question, therefore, is which scripture written wasn't penned by a human agent ?
Even the ones that are recorded "God said" really you can say it's Paul or Jeremiah's account of what they heard God say and they may have interpreted wrongly.
This, you can say to any scripture that doesn't fit your position.
All the gospels are accounts of what the 4 disciples say Jesus said.
We are beginning on a dangerous path to discredit the scriptures, and it is purely an attack on the move of the Spirit in this country.
Yes, due to certain issues we will discuss later, Charlatans infiltrated the move of the Spirit in this country and other parts, and it was purely to make mercahndise of God's people. They saw a weakness which was ignorance and exploited it.
This came because we grew churches without necessarily insisting on basic discipleship marked by the Spirit illuminating the minds of our listeners without which they will receive no revelation, but it will register as the teaching of men.
Paul spoke by revelation and not a humanistic understanding.
Galatians 1:12
"For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ."
Without a personal revelation of truth embraced, we are left with weakness.
Many heard, but never with their own eyes saw what was said, and so they practised things they didn't understand but simply because they were told to.
Many need a Job moment.
Job 42:5
"I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee."
The disappointments people have had with some ministers should not be exploited for selfish reasons. Some even today are still doing this while "battling false doctrines."
We are sounding an alarm that aethism is creeping in, and there is an attack on the validity of the scriptures as the written word of God.
I believe some of the Ministers pushing this thing don't even know the unintended consequence of what they are doing. A younger generation will arise that will say outlandish things and "upstage" them in this path. They themselves will be left bewildered
A watchman stands on the tower to see what is far ahead and sounds the alarm about what is coming.
I urge local pastors to ground their congregation in scriptural teachings.
Pray Ephesians 1: 16-18 daily over them. Only those who have the spirit of wisdom and revelation resting upon them will discern.
You are helpless without the spirit of wisdom and revelation.
It is imperative.
One has to constantly pray for eyes that see and ears that hear that one may not miss God sent opportunities. God always sends opportunities our way. We just don't recognise them.
Listen to this. (Just a basic illustration)
Dear Pst. Poju,
Good morning Sir. I attached a video of my shoutout to TCN for celebrating 30 years.
I remember you organising a retreat for us at ASCON badagry (a territory I lived in, ravaged with occultism and diabolical doings, with youths losing their lives sporadically over the years to juvenile violence). I lent transport fare to come for the retreat, without a thought of how to feed. Surprisingly you fed us, and gave me a personal room to rest after prayer, hitheto unprecedented in my life's experience.
You asked us to draw a landmark and cross over and never look back and I could tell from that moment, the trajectory of my life changed and I started gathering momentum. I can't explain it all in one mail but it's being a great journey for me.
You led me to my territory and by Christ made me conquer before setting out to other territories to become productive in life. As a graduate, I didn't have a job and I felt stuck.
For every Sunday when I had to go catch the free bus you provided to church, I stepped out in confidence knowing I could never be a matyr, and not a dingle strand of my hair ever fell to the ground.
Over the years things began to change, and I am where I am today by God's grace and your teachings. Many times you've appeared in my dreams to correct me, and I woke up to make these adjustments, and still till this day. I'm grateful Sir.
Warm regards,
