@ultrajectensis You, your, and yours are the formal second person pronouns in English. Thee, thy, thine, and thou are the informal. Formal pronouns are higher register than informal, are they not?
@xyathon@jaxoninaction Moral ≠ legal and legal ≠ moral. Wanting something to be legal doesn't mean it is automatically something that you consider moral, just that the harms of criminalizing an act outweigh the harms caused by the act itself.
@Libertymeggy@jaxoninaction There's a difference between supporting an act and not wanting it to be illegal. Case in point: liquor stores still are legal in Utah. Also, the commerce clause gives the government broad authority over the economy under current legal precedent.
@PElpru@jaxoninaction It discusses personal commitments, not policy or political affiliation. One can support lifting restrictions in policy and reducing discrimination while still believing the thing to be sin.
@AZ_2501 Yes. When the laws are written by as naked of corruption as the Copyright Term Extension Act of 1998 which was passed solely to let Disney keep total control of Mickey Mouse for a century, people here cease to assign moral weight and respect to that category of law.
@almondaro1@Xuanathame Our country's businesses can't do anything if the owners make the decision that they don't want foreign money and won't work with our distributors. Out here, we choose to acknowledge that they don't see us as part of their strategy and don't give them money they don't want.
@ZNg5g@Xuanathame WE DON'T HAVE THE POWER TO SET UP OFFICIAL SALES CHANNELS, ONLY THE PUBLISHER DOES. Not distributing overseas sounds the same as the publisher saying "we don't want your money" so we choose not to give them what they demonstrated they are not interested in getting
@KentJr41@rudy_betrayed Only when charged through the debit card network that ATMs use. When charged through the credit card network, the transaction is subject to credit card fees. That's why stores ask if you want to pay with debit or credit when running a debit card.
@_Xalthe_@LDS_Dems Members should not judge one another in political matters. Faithful Latter-day Saints can belong to a variety of political parties and vote for a variety of candidates. All should feel welcome in Church settings.

@ENoticer15@LDS_Dems Then why won't the conservative Republican party use their trifecta and abolish social security and Medicare if they care so much about overspending?
