There is no KUKI-ZO‼️

The mob violence in the Tuibong area of CCpur is the direct fallout of deep internal fractures within the Kuki community.

The so-called Kuki–Zomi–Hmar “unity” never truly existed. It was nothing more than a temporary alignment built purely on a shared hatred of Meiteis, not on shared values or vision.

That artificial construct has now completely collapsed, and the cracks are out in the open.

Today, Zomis and Hmars are openly backing the popular government.
Even within the Kuki community itself, the divisions are now bitter.

The current unrest is being driven only by mobs from the constituencies of certain Kuki MLAs, particularly Paolienlal and Letzamang Haokip, whose supporters are lashing out because their leaders failed to secure ministerial positions.

There is no violence in Zomi or Hmar areas, and not even in Kangpokpi Kuki areas, because Nemcha Kipgen was rewarded with the Deputy Chief Minister’s post. The pattern is obvious and undeniable.

Now, Hmar CSOs have openly come out in full support of their MLA, warning Kukis not to target him.

Meitei Man Killed in Churachandpur During Visit to Wife’s Home shot by kuki Militants

It is learnt that on January 21, around 6:30 pm, a Meitei man identified as Mayanglambam (tribal name Ginminthang), husband of Chingnu Haokip, was allegedly kidnapped by armed miscreants, suspected to be members of UKNA, from Tuibong in Churachandpur district.

According to reports, the armed men abducted both the husband and wife and took them towards Natjang area under Henglep Police Station, Churachandpur district, where the husband is suspected to have been eliminated by the kidnappers. Further details are awaited.

Sources said that Mrs Chingnu Haokip had taken prior permission from the Kuki National Organisation (KNO) and Tuibong DHQ authorities to allow her husband to visit her for a few days. Her husband, who was working in Nepal, had recently come home on leave, and permission was reportedly granted by the concerned authorities.

The deceased reportedly hails from Kakching Khunou. Authorities are yet to issue an official statement, and investigations are ongoing
