A University of the Free State (UFS) third-year Bachelor of Education student says she was attacked near Lekhulong Secondary School in Bloemfontein while attending her teaching practical placement.

The Hawks have issued an urgent appeal for information regarding four children who mysteriously disappeared from their home in Ntabankulu in the Eastern Cape more than 18 months ago.
Sive Siganga (7), Oyintando Siganga (4), Thabsile Siganga (4) and Thabile Siganga (4) were last seen playing in the yard of their family home on 10 November 2024 before vanishing without a trace.
The Hawks say extensive investigations, including intelligence-driven operations and inter-provincial follow-ups, have so far yielded no breakthrough.
Authorities are appealing to communities, traditional leaders, organisations and the public to assist with any information that could help locate the children or shed light on their disappearance.

Tembisa SAPS request assistance in locating a #missing 15-year-old boy, Simakade Mbadu. He was last seen on 02 May 2026 leaving his residence in Tembisa to go and play with friends. He has since not returned.

A mall employee at N1 City Mall is seeking assistance in locating the parent or guardian of a young boy who was found alone at the shopping centre.
According to the employee, the boy had travelled from Wallacedene Phase 3 in Kraaifontein to celebrate his birthday by himself but is now struggling to get back home.
