@pretendsmarts 1/ This one was done with my personal account but I'll try other animations with my pro account.
2/ Have you tried using ImageGen 2.5 and ask it to work on real orthographic views of your Blender mesh? It's way more consistent at keeping models accross different scenes.
3/ Finally, I give those keyframes to Astra and ask it to animate the rig it created in step 1.
Instead of figuring out the movement from a text prompt alone, Astra now has explicit visual references for the poses throughout the animation.
So the workflow is:
3D mesh → Astra rig → ImageGen keyframes → Astra animation
ImageGen defines the motion visually.
Astra translates it into an actual rigged 3D animation.
@dingdingbee For that one, I can't remember how I did the whole thing 🤔 I used ImageGen for sure. For the bunny, to get the mesh, I started with ImageGen by asking for 4 separate orthographic views (front, back, both profiles). Then I used TripoAI to generate the mesh and manage the UVs.
Created a pipeline skill with ImageGen for 3D textures and an agentic loop with Astra to improve my assets generation in Blender. Currently testing it but the results are promising. That leather grain when you zoom in... 😍🔥
Experimenting with a pretty cool way to animate 3D meshes with @OpenAI Astra (High) + ImageGen.
This bunny animation was created with:
🐰 1 mesh
🦴 Astra for rigging
🖼️ ImageGen for animation keyframes
🎬 Astra again for the final animation
No manual keyframing.
Here’s how ↓
@The1Broom@OpenAI This was my first try and I've directly shared the video as I was too excited by the result 😅 I understand what you mean. I just know that ImageGen 2.5 drifts less than the previous version and will help get more consistent animations.
@ethereaglehq@OpenAI The workflow is exactly the one I've shared. It took only two prompts. It may indeed need extra work if you want to create other animations with the same rig.
2/ Then I use ChatGPT + ImageGen to create the animation visually.
I describe the movement I want and ask for 16 keyframes covering the full animation.
For each keyframe, I generate 3 orthographic views:
• Front
• Back
• Side
This gives us a visual reference for the entire movement.
1/ First, I give Astra the 3D mesh and ask it to rig it.
At this point, I’m not asking Astra to figure out the animation.
I just want a clean, working rig that we can animate in the next steps.
@Stefan_3D_AI Have you tried using ImageGen to generate key frames of the animation you want, then ask Astra to create the animation based on those key frames?
We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics.
The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra.
The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.
