Lets get 1 million new companies started quick.

Changing gov policy for only 500+ businesses over 10 years is hard to justify UNLESS you view it through the lens of company creation in general. We have less founders in Canada. Why? SMBs are the backbone of a resilient economy.

If you want to put in terms of sovereignty, there is none if everyone works for government or banks or telecom. We need a rich and diverse economy of small business owners with tech being an important part. VC backed tech just a tiny part.

This isn't about a few people winning big. It is about creating the environment where ATI (who arguably started but had a big role in the GPU in research thing) could have been Nvidia and generated all that wealth here in Canada.

This is about having more than just service businesses in Canada. But its also about them too.

Lets get 1 million new businesses started. Quick. Most will fail. Lets make that easier on the builders who fail and succeed.

Stuff we could do starts with looking at SBA and not so much QSBS.

- ban personal guarantee loans from BDC or anyone to business owners
- make it super easy to finance buying a company that is under $5M
- get cities to give property tax holidays to new companies for 2 years

Plus lots more. Making it easier to operate any business will help shift this number. Focusing on just tech companies is not the whole story. Not even a big part of it.
