I understand that frustration. But it seems like Auburn fans are frustrated as well & they are packed out each week. We won’t have a program with that mindset. I wish more UAB fans would just show up for their team. Mort is legit, honestly it makes sense as well if you can give him a short term contract with not many guarantees it makes sense. You had multiple people turn the job down. I guarantee you a lot of these those coaches wanted 3 to 5 year contracts. The same thing they gave Dilfer. So while I hear your frustration. If people do as you say, we won’t have a program in a few years again. So my suggestion is if you really love the program like I know you do…. don’t let your hatred for Mark Ingram affect your support for the football team. Either way, I respect your passion. UAB Fan’s have been nothing but great to me and I love UAB. I want nothing but the best for UAB so I’m hopeful Mort gets it done.

UAB football is expected to hire Alex Mortensen as the school’s next head coach, per ESPN’s @PeteThamel. Mortensen worked as the interim coach this year in the wake of Trent Dilfer’s dismissal. He beat No. 22 Memphis and won at Tulsa as the interim coach.
