Not the worst half in the world, some ok/nice ideas, but without execution, that’s all they are: ideas

Cunha tasked with being a fluid/dropping CF for Bruno + wide forwards to penetrate beyond him isn’t a bad idea (see Tielemans ball over the top, that goes in = genius), with emphasis on little staggered runs + soft combinations - that is fine - but doesn’t really work so well with Dorgu in this type of game, imo. He suits a more stretched game than this. Games you need more defensive balance

Hulls block has also been pretty compact

They have been awkward, as I said they would be. But I wouldn’t be “pissed off” with the performance. Felt like a meh 1-1 type half, but we’re 0-2 down

Rashford for Dorgu straight swap (better in tight space games), or Sesko for Dorgu & Cunha wide left. Let it play out
