Here’s something I’ve wanted to release for a long time: a folder of 3D scans of all my face casts is now public!

Huge thanks to the donors who helped me get a scanner, and to my friends who provided the castings (thread below)🧵
here are some more face scans for the google drive!
thanks to @The_lbsc_thomas for providing me with these casts, I hope everyone gets some good use out of them!
You can find them in their character folders here:

@Creeplu1 that was a custom sculpt done by Matt !! If we get a real cast of her someday, i’ll happily scan it in. For now, i want to keep the folder to be just original casts from the show. That way, people know what they’re getting is 100% right.
Recently I commissioned these figures from Matt C with casts provided by Jacob. They look beautiful!
To contribute to my ongoing effort to create a digital library of 3D scans of Thomas props and casts, i've scanned these in.
You can download them here!

I've tried something slightly different this time where I've provided a picture of the scan next to the file, to better help people see what they're downloading. I think this is an improvement so I'll continue to update the rest of the folder like this in my free time!

@TheMichiganRag this is so awesome !! would it be possible to take ruler measurements so that people could make accurate replicas ? i think that’d be a fantastic resource
@JMS_Models what manufacturing process was used to make these ? are they chemically etched ?
i wonder if this would be a viable way to make replica marklin rods, the surface finish is very smooth
