This is the most talented team in American soccer history. Getting out of the group stage was the bare minimum to view this as a success.
Now it’s time to find someone who can lead this team who will get them to play greater than the sum of their parts, not equal to or less.
@kendallbaker Maybe even more important: New manager for the next cycle. Lacked offensive creativity. Best players never in impactful positions. Questionable roster choices/subs. We’ll be deeper and better in 2026, just need the right manager to push the right buttons.
Disappointing shift today, and some lineup/tactical decisions worth questioning, but first: a fine tournament from a young #USMNT. Plenty to build off of for the next two or three cycles.
