This is not a time to stay silent. The credible allegations of sexual assault that have been levied against Dan Helmer are incompatible with a position of public trust. In solidarity with the survivor and all women who have faced sexual harassment and assault, I call on Helmer to immediately withdraw from the Congressional race.

The allegations have been corroborated by members of LCDC who were aware at the time, and the actions led to the adoption of a sexual harassment policy. Helmer also worked to kill anti-sexual harassment legislation in the most recent legislative session. Taken together, this behavior is disqualifying. Now more than ever, we��must stand with and believe women.
