One year after BT Group announced grand plans to convert up to 60,000 old green street cabinets into public EV chargers, they have pulled the plug on their pilot 🥴
They only managed to install one charger. Read in newsletter yesterday! https://t.co/RxRdSWTTqG
@Sam_Dumitriu This should defo happen. Even when you move into places, the agents just leave signs up for months. In our case, during the recent storm, the sign pulled down our front gate/wall down due to high wind. Only then - after 5 months - did it get taken away!
Ha! Best PR of 2025 so far by Blackstone who appear to have persuaded media their huge purchases of warehouses relates to logistics.
Meanwhile… no mention of their HUGE interest in data centres. Chapeau!

Bonkers. On a weekend where reporting suggests govt could water down EV sales targets - a huge UK climate policy - and no questions about it to Transport Secretary by @bbclaurak 😐
Spent £60 for a single trip to London using @thetrainline so I could get to a hospital appointment. Train got cancelled by @GWRHelp. TrainLine emails no update about this. Ended up having to go by car on a Sunday. And now a refund seems impossible to get. Mad. @LouHaigh
@GWRHelp@thetrainline@thetrainline, I can't seem to get a refund for a train that was cancelled yesterday about 5 hours before it left - I spent £60 on a ticket. Can I DM?

@GWRHelp@thetrainline Oh how fun. It is absolutely mental the refund process is so time consuming - not to mention the time I’ve already lost having to reorganise travel for a chemo appointment tomorrow. Thanks!
@autocar But Grand Tour is returning? Thought it was public they are screen testing new presenters and borrowing cars from manufacturers.
Unless that’s hush-hush…
@ELPinchbeck Best (and quite cheap) insulation decision I made at previous flat with single glaze sash windows was to buy thermal underlinings for my curtains.
Here's an EV scoop... I've learned the new government is considering and being advised ways to defer bringing the petrol ban back forward to 2030.
And, guess what? Green leaders are ok with that.

After an undergrad in Durham & postgrad medical degree in which she gained several academic awards, my wife has been RANDOMLY ranked in the bottom 6% of UK med students. Off we go to another country away from our flat and my London-based job. Cheers @UKFPO@wesstreeting@TheBMA
