🚨EXCLUSIVE: “I’ve been told that Paul Winstanley was against the signing of Granit Xhaka. Both Winstanley and Chelsea owner Behdad Eghbali were at odds, with Winstanley refusing Xabi Alonso’s request. In the end, they had no choice but to bid as low as £8 million. Winstanley and Behdad Eghbali didn’t buy into the idea of a 33-year-old player; they saw him as too old and too slow for the project. Their focus is on players aged 26 to 29, or maybe 30 if the cost is reasonable. But once again, they bid too low.
The same approach happened last summer with the Mike Maignan deal, offering just €15 million. I was told Enzo Maresca requested Mike Maignan privately last summer, but Chelsea, especially Winstanley, chose to go too low, a move that nearly derailed the deal.
According to my source, Xabi Alonso didn’t want the saga to sour his relationship with the club, as he has other options. Alonso sees Xhaka not as his main man but as a behind-the-scenes leader guiding the squad in his tactics if he’s not around.
For now, Behdad Eghbali and Winstanley’s relationship with Alonso is still solid, with no disagreements. But they believe they can repay him with a better midfielder, someone aged 28 to 29, more agile and more experienced. But let’s be real, Paul Winstanley is the big problem at Chelsea FC. I don’t know why he’s still here, but if Chelsea want to move forward, they have to get rid of Winstanley.”
It’s not as simple as “sack the manager.” Rosenior shouldn’t have been here in the first place.
Point your anger at who brought him in and wasted £1.5bn on average potential, and the owners who enable them.
@henrywinter@ChelsTransfer We’re finished Henry. Rotten to the core and from the top down and all on Clearlake. How to destroy a football club in 4 years.
This isn’t even Rosenior’s fault. This is a severe issue with ownership. How could they justify putting him in as manager when he’s this out of his depth?
Tuchel - sacked
Poch - sacked
Maresca - sacked
Vulgar ownership with no clue whatsoever. What’s next?
The @Chelsea display tonight was:
Soulless
Heartless
Disorganised
Schoolboys
And the pointing fingers can only start at the top

Be aware of a ticket scammer going by the X name of @_TomBarret who, despite a bio stating his location is in the UK and a photo of @StamfordChidge and @GrocerJackUK, is actually based somewhere on the African continent and is definitely out to steal your money.

Maresca and his team got everything right tonight. Superb performance and result. Brilliant achievement to win the Club Word Cup, whatever you think of the merits of the tournament.
@O2@MoneySavingExp@CommsOmbudsman Finally after a couple of days of nothing the number has now been ported. No explanation as to why it took so long, no apology. Just a message saying your number has now been ported. Sadly it took to posting about it on here before it got done. Not great customer service.
Can anyone tell me why it has taken nearly 4 weeks to port a number across from 3 to @O2. Despite numerous calls and emails to O2 no one seems to be able to tell us what is going on. @MoneySavingExp, @CommsOmbudsman
@O2@MoneySavingExp@CommsOmbudsman Update re our issue with @O2. They responded by telling us they couldn't find any record of our porting request. I sent them a screenshot from the confirmation email O2 sent showing all the details of our order including the porting request! Now gone very quiet again.
