In the 2025–26 financial year, the UK Treasury received £331 billion in Income Tax. In the same period, the Government spent £333 billion on welfare.
This situation is clearly unsustainable and requires urgent change.
For the first time ever, we’re now spending more on welfare than we raise from those who are actually working.
We need to change course: cut the burden on hard-working taxpayers, reward their effort, and create real incentives for more people to get into work and contribute.
The current path isn’t fair — and it can’t last.

Rep. Nadler: "How many of Epstein's co-conspirators have you even indicted? How many perpetrators are you even investigating?"
Pam Bondi: "Your theatrics are ridiculous!…You don't tell me anything, you washed up loser lawyer!"
Tyres on EVs last around 30% less time than those on ICE cars.. All about weight. Also of course leave a lot more micro plastics behind them as result (or so a tyre man tells me..). Maybe it's just a different kind of pollution.
Does somebody at the DOJ want to tell me why my American Airlines booking information and flights in July 2019 are part of the Epstein files (attached to a grand jury subpoena)? As the flight itinerary includes my maiden name (and I did book this flight) why was the DOJ monitoring me?
NEW
According to the latest @ONS figures, 693k people left the UK in the year to June.
That is the single biggest outflow of people from this country in more than a century 👀
The welfare bill is, give or take £10bn, now much the same as the income tax take. Pretty much every penny in income tax paid by these working people Reeves care about so much... goes to a welfare recipient.

Here's some facts;
- There are 5.6 million small businesses in the UK.
- SMEs account for 99.9% of the business population.
- Total employment in SMEs is 16.7 million (61% of the total),
- Annual turnover from SMEs is estimated at £2.4 trillion.
- 90% of new businesses fail, often resulting in the founders losing all their life savings.
- Small/medium businesses are the heart and soul of the British economy.
Starting and growing a business takes guts, resilience, and ambition - and needs to be supported for the economy to thrive.
Global corporations employ armies of accountants to minimise or eliminate their taxes.
Small businesses don’t have the luxury or budget for that; frankly, most don’t want to.
They’re happy to pay their fair share but draw the line when they believe they’re taken advantage of.
A vibrant, flourishing economy that's supportive of business will generate far more tax revenue than one that crushes the British entrepreneurial spirit.
