In 1999, Sanju Bhagat's stomach was so swollen that he appeared as if he were nine months pregnant and struggled to breathe. Due to his worsening breathing difficulties, he was urgently admitted to a hospital.
Doctors initially suspected that his enlarged abdomen was caused by a massive tumor.
However, during surgery, they made a shocking discovery: Bhagat had been carrying his parasitic twin, which he had absorbed in the womb 36 years prior.
Bhagat suffered from a rare condition known as fetus in fetu, in which one twin is absorbed by the other but continues to draw blood and nutrients from the host.
As a result, the absorbed fetus continued to develop teeth, hair, and even genitals.
