Six JKUAT athletes participated in the Softball teams representing Kenya at the World Baseball and Softball Confederation Africa Continental Qualifiers hosted here in JKUAT. Meanwhile, Keith Anthony Kivuva and Victor Mwinzi have been selected for the Kenya National Roll Ball Team competing in the 7th Roll Ball World Cup in Qatar later this month. Moreover, staff member Mary Chepkoi made history last month by coaching Kenya’s Deaf Basketball National Team to the 2025 Deaflympics in Tokyo, Japan. These achievements highlight the vibrant spirit and dedication of our students and staff, reinforcing JKUAT's reputation as a hub for talent development.

At the #USKenyaCreativeEconomyForum, the breakout session "SPORTS: BEYOND THE GAME – INVESTING IN KENYA’S SPORTS ECONOMY" has explored how Kenya can unlock the full potential of its sports industry through infrastructure, partnerships, and cross-sector collaboration.
@thomwallace, Chairman and Co-founder, @ifwebuilditorg, emphasized the importance of investing in sports infrastructure to foster talent and community growth.
@edwinsifuna, Senator, Nairobi County, highlighted a Senate proposal to amend the Public-Private Partnerships framework to promote transparency in sports-related investments.
Robert Opiyo, Chairman, Kenya Federation of Ice Sports, spoke on the urgent need for partnerships to address the high cost of sports equipment and improve access.
@sandrakimokoti, Co-Founder & Chief Commercial Officer, Twende Sports , pointed to strong fan support and stressed the need for proper facilities to nurture talent.
Savara Mudigi (@savarafrica), Artist and Creative Entrepreneur, @sautisol / Sol Generation, called for synergy between music and sports, noting their shared emotional impact and cultural value.
The session was facilitated by @CarolRadull, Sports Media Personality and Founder, Sporty Media, who served as the Knowledge Partner, offering expert insights into Kenya’s evolving sports landscape.
