@vikstrom_stefan@CEOAdam While the shareprice is still in the gutter which sucks we do have a vastly improving box office.
Q4 was really strong and the lineup in 2025 is jam packed with big movies. The shareprice has to recover at some point.
The switch to focusing on streaming might be one of the biggest examples of movie studios shooting themselves in the foot ever
It killed the box office of a lot of films and then kneecapped the market after that
If a film underperformed it still had a life on VHS, DVD etc as either a purchase or even a rental title
Then a TV network would buy the rights to show it
Streaming has also turned big franchises like Star Wars and Marvel that used to be Events into ‘content’ to get subscribers
One of the all time big bag fumbles
@Luiz_Fernando_J The 2019 film had a buildup of interest.
Most came to the conclusion that it was a very mediocre film. So now we have the sequel, a story nobody is interested in which is a prequel to a mediocre remake.
@Luiz_Fernando_J The film is almost unwatchably bad and it's beeing punished for it. Rightfully so.
Time to learn your lesson Sony and use those 100million+ budgets to make something with quality.
@PeterRHann1@elonmusk I worked as a head of video department in a large PR/commercial agency. Very stressful very dynamic. During covid we all worked from home for 1 1/2 years.
The agency had its best year ever during that time. I worked so much more efficiently at home without any distraction.
@Gsince85@EvilVillainAPE@Ddppll83@CEOAdam Nothing to do with AA, I work in marketing and the success of these spots are measurable.
Having Saturday Night Live make a sketch about it shows that these commercials have entered the pop cultur space and have a broad mindshare.
Very few commercials achieve this status.
@Mc87mc87@BAMinvestor Same here, the US stock market will never see another dime from me. The buy button removal, using halts constantly on top of the usual spoofing, dark pools and synthetic share manipulation filled the meter.
