Staring down the actual Declaration of Independence before stepping into the octagon as an underdog to beat the piss out of an undefeated fighter in front of the world is an extraordinary level of legendary
UFC & World Cup was fun over the weekend, but jangoism has to go beyond just production at sporting events. We had jangoism after 9/11, but was fleeting & didn't produce real prosperity. It's a fun little nostalgia boost, but the feels have to produce something real to matter.
@CynicalPublius It has to extend beyond just production at sporting events. We had the same kind of jangoism post 9/11, but it was fleeting & didn't produce real prosperity. While all this is fun to watch & a nice nostalgia boost, let's see how things look over the next decade.
If you’re gonna force players to wear the rainbow, don’t get mad when they teach you what the rainbow actually means.
It’s not a celebration of sin, it’s a covenant with God’s people.
The right man won…
“FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.“
Give your life to JESUS!
Can I get an amen?
@audrawrongspeak There's a whole episode about Bluey being told to pick up her toys, realizes that it feels good to have accomplished cleaning hers up so she voluntarily picks up her sister's toys too.
Again, you may not like the UFC thing at the White House, but the moment you hung a giant pride flag from the columns and had half-naked “trans” activists exposing themselves on the lawn, you lost all right to complain about desecration.
The same idiots that desecrated & pulled down statutes of our founders & had drag shows on the White House lawn, really want you to know how horrible an event celebrating America on that same lawn is.
@FifthDensityV@dissidentwest The 2005 release date in context of history was clearly purposeful to act as propaganda against the War on Terror & conflicts in Afghanistan & Iraq. A critic might wonder if the writer & director & actors involved see Bin Laden & Saddam the same as they portrayed Saladin.
@FifthDensityV@dissidentwest Is it though? Orlando Bloom's character is clearly a tool to try and make Islam look softer. The movie tries to portray Saladin as pragmatic, honorable negotiator rather than leader of a zealous conquering hoard attempting to bring on Armageddon that Islamist truly are.
