“It worked, boom.”
That’s Nigel Farage celebrating a Reform UK plot to break election law - by having a US company secretly pay for three influential political polls that benefitted the party.
Earlier in the investigation, Reform’s Head of Policy James Orr and senior advisor Dan Jukes arranged for a Verbatim reporter to pay for the polls through a US company. Orr and Jukes believed the firm was run by the reporter’s American father.
Mr Farage was filmed by undercover reporters from @Verbatim_Media as part of a year-long investigation that Channel 4 News has thoroughly checked and verified.
This meeting took place in his Clacton constituency in July - when Mr Farage was fighting a by-election he called after separate allegations about his finances.

Here’s my theory of the case: If Democrats can figure out how to win in the middle of the country, we can make it work everywhere else. But what works on the coasts does not automatically work in Michigan, in Iowa, in Ohio. So we’ve got to figure out the middle first.
That is why I have been spending time in the middle of the country, in purple and red places. I’ve been talking with folks who voted for Trump about how they view things and what they’re looking for in new Democratic leaders.
And I want to say something about the Democrats organizing in tough places.
These are people doing the hard work in red places, being good Democrats when it’s hard. It is easy to show up where everyone already agrees with you. It is something else to show up where they don't, and do it anyway, because you believe it matters.
I believe it matters. And I am going to keep showing up in those places. I hope you will too.
What’s the ratio of articles imploring Democrats to learn from a guy who won a mayoral election in New York City to learning from a guy who’s winning yet again in North Carolina?
Fifty to one? Five hundred?
THREE ARROWS RULES ARE NOW IN EFFECT.

Reporter: What do you make of Republicans saying that Virginia—
AOC: Wah wah wah.
We have asked Republicans for 10 years to ban partisan gerrymandering. And for 10 years, Republicans have said no. Republicans have fought for partisan gerrymanders across the United States of America. And these are the rules that they have set.
And so if the Republican Party wanted to start this, they did this in North Carolina. They drew out three Democratic members of Congress in North Carolina. They did it in Texas.
What they’re just mad at is that they have been accustomed to a Democratic Party that rolls over, doesn’t fight, and takes everything sitting down. And what they’re mad at right now is that we are here in a new day. And we have been asking the Democratic Party to stand up and fight, and now they did—and now the Republican Party doesn’t like the fact that they are fighting against someone who actually will stand up for the American people.
So if Republicans decide that they would like to revisit a ban on partisan gerrymandering, I welcome them. We have the bill right here to end this all today. But they don’t want to, because they like pursuing and continuing to enact an unfair electoral landscape. And so we have an obligation to defend ourselves.
🔥 @RepRoKhanna to Democratic leadership: “Get out. Let a new generation lead. You’ve been ineffective. The base doesn’t like you. The base wants fighters.”
Trump was supposed to fight for the working class.
Instead, he's closing rural clinics and hospitals to cut taxes for George Soros and Elon Musk.
This is a government of, by, and for the ultra-rich.
