Every Town for Gun Safety is an extremely liberal non-profit that is for complete disarmament of Americans and the dissolution of a Constitutional right of Americans. Their data is extremely biased. I don't believe anything they publish.

You're assuming that legally purchased and owned guns are used in most gun deaths as your data suggests. The reality is that a legal gun owner and legally purchased gun are used in less than 0.01% of all gun death cases.

Every Town can't raise money on the truth....it's why they skew everything they publish.

The family knew he was hearing voices to kill others and recently focused on the bar and bowling alley in his dillusions. They did NOTHING.

The Military, the hospital, the mental health facility, local police ALL knew. And did nothing.

Clearly guns are the issue.

So many people knew the shooter was mentally disturbed in a big way.
- the Military staff who called police 3 months ago
- the Hospital and mental health facility where he was admitted for two weeks
- family members who also stated he was focused on the bar and bowling alley and hearing voices to shoot people.

Yup, with 10+ people in the position to change the course of this tragic event, they simply chose not to. It's clearly an issue of gun control, right?

Year to date:
- 478 shot & killed
- 2,131 shot & wounded
- 2,609 total shot
- Total homicides: 531

It's a broken healthcare system that lets this sick person loose, after he stated hearing voices in his head to shoot people.

They should have gone to his house and taken his guns too. No one did anything. How many people didn't take action and knew he was a threat?

@mmpadellan In the state of Washington you can't even own an old cowboy rifle from the late 1800s with oldest and slowest loading method - it's now classified as an assault rifle, as are magazines with more than 10 bullets, because 11 bullets are so scary.

A woman can get an abortion in WA State in the same day.... easily. An abortion guarantees someone dies. A law abiding person buying a gun doesn't.

@davidhogg111 On average, 10,850 people die each year in DUI traffic accidents. All the drivers training, licensing, etc don't stop this.

The Army Reserve, Police, and healthcare providers KNEW he was really screwed up. And released him to kill 22 people.

Focus on the REAL problem.

Clearly this Maine mass shooting is the fault of the NRA, etc and all the law-abiding citizens who protect their loved ones with firearms- and that pesky 2nd Amendment too.

It COULDN'T be a failed healthcare system that released an insane person who stated that voices in his head told him to shoot up a military base just 3 months ago....it couldn't be.

The alarm from the media to disarm law abiding citizens will ring loud again. Just know the alleged shooter was in a mental hospital just weeks ago hearing voices in his head to shoot up the military base. The alarms should be LOUDER for mental healthcare for military personnel.

In liberal Democrat-led cities, the police exist to write reports about what happened. When was the last time the police were there to actually catch a thief or car jacker? Seattle is becoming a lawless place where criminals KNOW they won't be caught.
